In order to be saved you must understand first of all what salvation is. Salvation is deliverance from sin. To be delivered means that you are set free from sin. Jesus Christ came to save his people from their sins (Mat.1:21). Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world,  according to the will of God and our Father (Gal.1:4).

Do you need or do you want to saved from sin? Well what is sin? Sin is according to I John 3:4 is the transgression of Gods law. God put his law within every mans heart and mind according to Heb.10:16. And God has given to every man a conscious to know right from wrong (Rom.2:15). When you commit sin which is the transgression of the law of God within you your conscious accuses and condemns you, therefore bringing guilt to your soul. Do you feel a sense of guilt and shame right now? Are you under condemnation? Do you know that you need to change deep down inside your heart? If your answer is yes, then its time to be saved from sin. The devil will tell you that now is not the time and he'll try to convince you to put it off for a later time but  the bible says that "now is the accepted time, today is the day of salvation" (2 Cor.6:2). Today is your day!

How do you get saved? By giving your whole heart to God

Step 1:  Humility. You must first humble yourself and confess that you are a sinner. II Chron.7:14 reads "If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land." So you must humble your pride and be sorry for your sins. This is first and foremost. Admit in your heart to God that you are a sinner on your way to hell and are in need of God’s mercy and forgiveness.

Step 2:  Confession of all sin. The next step is confessing your sins or acknowledging your sins through praying, I John 1:9 says "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Confession is telling God what it is you want forgiven in your life. What is it in your life that you consciously know is wrong? This is what you confess. For example if you smoke, or commit fornication or lie this is what you confess to God and ask him to forgive you of it all.

Step 3: Turning away from all sin. Eze 33:11  Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Step 4: Forsaking all sin. Forsake means to abandon -"Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." When you forsake, you deny sin, you resist it. When temptation comes, through complete obedience to Gods word and prayer God gives grace to overcome sin every time Satan tempts you with it. Have you forsaken all sin?
